Metal, Fragments, and Tokyo Nights: The Scrapworld x Clarks Original Wallabee Arrives at Noirfonce

Metal, Fragments, and Tokyo Nights: The Scrapworld x Clarks Original Wallabee Arrives at Noirfonce

At Noirfonce, we’ve always believed that the best streetwear isn't just about what you wear: it’s about the stories and the community behind the pieces. That is why we are incredibly excited to welcome the latest creative manifesto from our friends at Scrapworld: a conceptual reimagining of the iconic Clarks Originals Wallabee.

This isn't just another collaboration; it’s an exercise in "Scrap" philosophy...the art of taking fragments, remnants, and raw materials and transforming them into something contemporary and meaningful.

Before we dive into the craftsmanship of the shoe, we have to highlight the bond that makes this launch so special for us. Over the past year, Noirfonce and Scrapworld have solidified a partnership rooted in movement and culture.

Last year, we joined forces to co-host Homerun and Mental Athletic, organizing two unforgettable social runs that brought our community together through sport and style. Seeing that same energy translated into a physical product feels like a natural evolution, and one we are extremely excited to be able to celebrate with them.

If you're familiar with Scrapworld, you'll know that for Scrapworld, all details are more than covered: they're obsessed. Every single one of them. So let's break it down:

- Metallic Fragments: Small metal pieces are distributed organically across the vamp. They aren't just ornaments; they represent the "Scrap" identity... found objects given new life.

- The S-Logo Signature: Look closely at the vamp to find the custom-designed Scrapworld "S" logo, a distinct metallic signature created specifically for this project.

- Texture Play: To balance the cold metal, the pair features multicolor  laces, adding warmth and a striking visual contrast to the suede.

- Experimental Details: Three metallic eyelets and a custom "S-logo" FOB tag round out a design that feels both industrial and artisanal. Almost as if we were to add Chrome Hearts to the collaboration. It's something special.

The project, developed alongside Gonzalo Pinelo, ensures that while the shoe is conceptually heavy, it remains perfectly balanced and functional for daily wear.

To capture the essence of the shoe, Scrapworld took the project to Japan, exploring the duality of the Wallabee through two distinct lenses:

Enoshima (The Calm): Photographer Rikuto Sekizawa captured Kairi Akitsu against the peaceful, contemplative backdrop of Enoshima island. Here, the shoe exists in a world of tradition, open landscapes, and the silent hum of motor culture.

Shibuya (The Chaos): In contrast, Juan Villegas followed Kazuo Russell through the neon-soaked, high-energy streets of Shibuya. In the heart of Tokyo’s nightlife, the Wallabee proves it can handle the intensity of the urban grind.

The Scrapworld x Clarks Originals Wallabee is more than a shoe; it’s a convergence of materials, references, and sensitivity that consolidates Scrapworld as a relevant player within the streetwear scene.

Whether you’re navigating a quiet morning or a fast-paced night, this pair is designed to live through every fragment of your day. These are now available in store and online in extremely limited quantities.
