à Table x Asics: A Night for Heritage, Craft, and Connection

à Table x Asics: A Night for Heritage, Craft, and Connection

Some evenings linger long after the last bite. The second edition of à Table, in collaboration with Asics, was one of those nights: an intimate gathering centered around conversation, community, and the quiet celebration of design, movement and human connection.

This edition paid homage to the GEL-Cumulus 16, a sneaker that defined an era of running. First introduced as part of Asics’ celebrated Cumulus line (first introduced in 1999), the 16th iteration (2014) carried the brand’s hallmark GEL cushioning, engineered precision, and understated aesthetic that has made it both a performance staple and a streetwear favorite. A shoe designed to support motion, endurance, and to keep up with everyday life.

Guests arrived at an atmosphere shaped by Aprons and Kimonos, whose carefully crafted dishes mirrored the balance and detail of the sneaker itself. Each plate, was purposeful; highlighting subtlety, seasonality, and texture. Conversation flowed as naturally as the wine, bridging backgrounds, disciplines, and experiences. In a space designed for connection, the store and sneaker became cultural touch points in a very relaxed way.

By the evening’s end, it was clear why this collaboration felt effortless. Asics provided the legacy, Aprons and Kimonos the craft, and the Noirfonce community brought the pulse and the melting pot for it all to converge. Together, they created an evening that wasn’t just about Sneakers, a brand, or food, it was about presence, conversation, and the shared moments that turn a simple dinner into a memory.

à Table isn’t just a dinner series, it’s pure poetic philosophy. And when heritage, craft, and community converge like this, the result is unmistakable: intentional, memorable, and beautifully in motion.

Big thanks to Asics and Aprons and Kimonos for the partnership, and to our wonderful guests for the conversation, support, and love.
