Tom Sachs NikeCraft GPS "Bricolage": Worn In, Not Worn Out.
In a world obsessed with the pristine, the "deadstock," and the immediately disposable, there are few who champion the beauty of utility, repair, and endurance. Tom Sachs is one of them. The NikeCraft partnership isn’t about hype; it’s about mileage.
Following the mantra that "your sneakers should not be the most interesting thing about you," Sachs returns with the new General Purpose Shoe (GPS) "Bricolage." It’s a tool. It's designed to be used, abused, fixed, and used again.
"Bricolage" isn't just a French word that sounds cool on a box label. It is a core tenet of the Sachs studio philosophy. It means making do with what is at hand. It is the art of improvisation. A paperclip becomes a tool; a piece of scrap wood becomes a shelf; a broken strap is reinforced, not replaced.
The GPS "Bricolage" embodies this. Its design is stripped back, prioritizing longevity. It features a breathable yet durable knitted upper, a three-piece molded cup sole for stability, and those signature green pull tabs: simple, functional, and built to last. It is a sneaker that looks better the more you forget you’re wearing it.
To truly understand the "Bricolage" ethos, we didn’t want to photograph it on a pedestal. We took it to the heart of Noirfonce: our staff locker room.
This is not a stylized set. It is a functional, chaotic, living space where our team shifts from curation to construction. It’s where we store our tools, our spare parts, our sketches, and our worn-out gear.
Our locker room is bricolage. It’s a space where broken shelves are propped up by old sneaker boxes, where keys hang from salvaged wires, and where every scratch on the lockers tells a story of a busy launch day.
For this editorial, our team wore the GPS "Bricolage" while simply being themselves…fixing the store fixtures, organizing the archives, and taking a well-earned break surrounded by the tools of our trade. The sneakers didn't look like newcomers; they looked like they belonged. They are tools in a room full of tools.
The Tom Sachs NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe "Bricolage" released in Summit White/Pine Green on April 14, 2026.
Given the demand for the GPS line and the ethos of endurance, these are not meant to be kept in a box. They are meant to tell your story.
You can find them online at Noirfonce and in-store. We recommend wearing them home.
