Suede is the underside of leather, sanded to create a soft and flexible texture. It comes from farms located in the state of Rio Grande do Sul and is tanned in Brazil without using hazardous or banned chemicals. VEJA uses dyes that comply with regulations and consumes little water during the tanning process. This suede is then coated with PFC-free water-repellent oils (chemical compounds) to protect the sneakers from light rain.
