á Table: A Celebration of Matter, Craft, and the Soul of Madrid

At Noirfonce, any table has always been more than just a place to eat. It is a shared canvas -a space where ideas are deconstructed and craftsmanship is celebrated with the same reverence as a fine vintage. For the latest edition of À Table, we gathered our community in the heart of Madrid to explore the tangible: the materials that define our world and the hands that shape them.

This evening wasn't just about footwear; it was about the synergy between New Balance and the creative spirit of our city where all materials are crafted with intent.

Specifically: the NB 2000 and NB 2010's - two silhouettes that could not come at a better time: infused with metallic overlays, beautiful mesh, and a bold style that is especially visible on the 2000 with its podded-sole. 

Madrid is a city built on textures—the weathered stone of Malasaña, the tactile warmth of local workshops, and the relentless energy of the streets. It’s a landscape that mirrors the New Balance philosophy: a commitment to premium materials and the quiet excellence the brand has become known for.  As we sat together, the conversation flowed from the intricate nubuck, suedes and ABZORB technology which we internally started to refer to as "noise cancellation for your feet"... a modernization of classic silhouettes that build on the artisanal heritage that keeps Madrid’s creative pulse beating.

So we focused on just that: architectural perfection -our table was set with a mound of sand in the middle with candles stuck in the middle. The menu placed on each plate was hand-stitched, and the -delicious- food, (again in partnership with Aprons & Kimonos) played with textures, and the architectural perfection a Spanish gilda is -hence the plate design. 

The gathering served as a reminder that in a digital age, there is no substitute for the physical. Whether it’s the feel of a meticulously woven fabric or the weight of a well-crafted tool, these details are the foundation of what we do. By bringing together local makers, storytellers, and New Balance, we honored the belief that true luxury lies in the process, not just the product.

To those who joined us around the table: thank you for bringing your perspective to the mix. For those who couldn't be there, the spirit of the evening lives on in every pair of New Balance on our shelves -a tribute to quality, craftsmanship, and the city we call home.
