Air Jordan 14 x Mowalola "Black/Burnt Red-Metallic Gold": the AJ14, reworked as a couture piece

Mowalola Ogunlesi, the Nigerian-born, London-based designer known for her uncompromising clubwear aesthetic — already celebrated for her 2022 New Balance 9060 collaboration — delivers her first major project with Jordan Brand here. Released on September 18, 2026, this collaboration reworks the Air Jordan 14, a silhouette designed by Tinker Hatfield and inspired by Michael Jordan's Ferrari 550 Maranello, alongside a matching apparel collection including a tartan tracksuit and a hoodie printed with the number 23.

On this Black/Burnt Red-Metallic Gold colourway, the black upper is cut through with patent-leather-style panels and metallic gold accents, while Mowalola's signature runs across the side panels. The construction keeps the original AJ14's technical DNA: the side Jumpman shield, automotive-inspired sweeping lines, and Air-Sole cushioning underfoot for comfort true to the historic model.

Far from a simple recolour, this pair sits within the tradition of collaborations that turn a performance model into a collectible object: elevated materials, metal hardware, and raw graphic detailing, echoing the work Mowalola brought to the New Balance 9060.
