Air Jordan 6: the sneaker behind Michael Jordan's first title

Air Jordan 6: the shoe of the first NBA title

In the early 90s Michael Jordan ruled the NBA as an individual, but a team title still escaped him. For the 1990-91 season Tinker Hatfield created the Air Jordan 6, a cleaner and tougher silhouette shaped by MJ's own feedback. Jordan loved cars and was driving a Porsche at the time, so the designer borrowed several details from German sports cars. In June 1991 the Chicago Bulls beat the Los Angeles Lakers in the Finals and Jordan finally won his first NBA title wearing the Air Jordan 6.
