Asics running: a heritage born in Kobe in 1949

The Asics story starts in 1949 in Kobe, Japan, when Kihachiro Onitsuka founded Onitsuka Co. to make sports shoes. In 1977 the company became Asics, an acronym of the Latin motto Anima Sana In Corpore Sano, a sound mind in a sound body. Since then, the brand has become a benchmark in running, notably thanks to its Gel cushioning. Across Europe, Asics running shoes remain a favourite choice among runners.

Gel-Kayano, Novablast, Superblast: Asics running shoes
