Nike Air Max Black Friday deals: every model

The beauty of the Nike Air Max range is that no two models are alike. Each silhouette comes from a different chapter of Nike design, which means you can pick based on what you actually fancy wearing rather than what’s in this season. If you’re just getting into Air Max, the usual advice applies: think first about how much volume you want on your foot, then about colour. That’s what changes the feel most when you wear them, and what decides which clothes they’ll work with. A low, streamlined silhouette wants trousers with a clean drop; a chunky sole can easily handle a wide hem sitting over the top. After that, it’s down to taste.

Air Max 1, 90 and 95 Black Friday deals: the Air bubble classics

This is the core of the family, and probably where to start if it’s your first pair of Air Max. The Air Max 1 is where it all began in 1987, with the first visible Air unit on a Nike trainer and a design that still looks current almost forty years on; it’s the most understated of the three and the easiest to wear every day. The Air Max 90 arrived three years later with a different attitude: bold panels that block the colour, a slightly chunkier silhouette and that detail around the bubble you can spot from across the street. And the Air Max 95 broke with everything before it: layered overlays, laces tucked low down and a build that looked like nothing else around at the time. Air Max Plus, 97 and DN8 on sale this Black Friday

If you’re after something with more character, here’s the other half of the family. The Air Max 97 has those rippling lines running the length of the shoe and a full-length Air unit from toe to heel, so it’s one of the best for metallic or reflective finishes. The Air Max Plus, the famous TN, is arguably the Air Max with the most loyal following: gradients, side ribs and a presence that never goes unnoticed. The Air Max DN8 is the most contemporary side of the range, with a fresh take on cushioning and an unmistakably futuristic look, made for anyone who doesn’t want an archive trainer. And if you love the classics but want something less common than the 90 or the 95, the Air Max 180 is still one of the most interesting options in the catalogue.

Air Max in 2026: from Air Max Day to Black Friday

The family has its own date in the calendar, Air Max Day in March, and what drops that day shapes the rest of the year. Nike usually uses it to bring back heritage colourways and unveil something new; the most popular get re-released over the following months, while the rest end up as pieces you can only find second-hand. By November, what’s left in store is exactly that mix: the year’s releases sitting alongside the catalogue classics that never go away.
