The Nike Vomero 5 is the reason half the world is looking at early-2010s running shoes again. It was originally designed for running, but today it’s mostly worn on the street: layered mesh and synthetic overlays, plastic heel reinforcements and a Cushlon foam midsole with a Zoom Air unit in the heel that you feel from the very first step. That blend of technical, slightly “busy” styling is exactly what makes it work with baggy jeans, tracksuits or pleated trousers.
