Adidas Handball Spezial WTR "Tent Green": the court icon heads outdoors

The Handball Spezial was drawn up in 1979 for one very specific surface: the sports hall floor. More than forty years on, though, you are far more likely to spot it on the street. The WTR range goes one step further and takes it outside, where it rains, where it is cold and where the paths are less even. In the "Tent Green" colourway, this winter version leans clearly towards an outdoor aesthetic.

When it comes to construction, the details do the work. A water-repellent textile quarter shields the heel area from the wet, while durable premium leather overlays give the upper its structure. The Aditex sockliner keeps feet warm and the mudguard helps keep moisture out. The synthetic ripple outsole grips tarmac and damp cobbles alike. Tent Green meets Khaki Three and Night Cargo, finished with metal eyelets, the 3-Stripes and the Trefoil.

These men's trainers are made for autumn weekends: a walk in the woods, the Sunday market, a trip out to the countryside. Pair them with sand cargo trousers, raw denim or workwear trousers, and a chore jacket, a fleece or a light anorak. The khaki tones also sit well with brown, cream and black when you want something more urban.

Somewhere between retro classic and seasonal shoe, the Handball Spezial WTR "Tent Green" earns its place among the winter trainers that matter. It keeps your silhouette clean when most bad-weather footwear pushes you towards something bulkier, and stays easy to wear every day.

The Adidas Handball Spezial WTR "Tent Green" is available at noirfonce.eu, 100% authentic, in sizes 38 to 46, subject to availability. Fast delivery across Europe, secure checkout and the option to pay in instalments.
