Asics Gel-1130 "Concrete": The 2008 Runner That Became a Street Staple

Released in 2008, the Gel-1130 began life as a stability running shoe, conceived as a more accessible alternative to the Gel-Kayano 14 and borrowing much of its design language. Reissued in 2021, first through a collaboration with designer Kiko Kostadinov and then as a general release, it quickly became one of the defining silhouettes of the 2000s running revival. This Concrete / Evergreen colourway pairs a light concrete grey with deep green accents.

The upper blends breathable mesh with synthetic leather overlays, striking a smart balance between airflow and structure. GEL technology in the midsole cushions every step, while the TRUSSTIC system beneath the arch delivers the support that reflects its stability roots. The ASICS stripes on the sides and a textured outsole round off a design that stays true to the era.

Day to day, these grey and green trainers work with baggy denim, cargo trousers or shorts in summer. The Evergreen detailing adds just enough colour to lift a neutral outfit without taking over. Whether you are commuting, wandering the city or travelling light, the Gel-1130 delivers running-shoe comfort in a low-key, easy silhouette.

In the world of retro running trainers, the Gel-1130 is an essential: slim, visually light and endlessly easy to style. Where the Gel-Kayano 12.1 goes big on volume, this one is all about balance. Unisex ASICS retro trainers that punch well above their weight, perfect for starting a collection or rounding one out.

The Asics Gel-1130 "Concrete" is available now at noirfonce.eu, an official retailer since 2015, in a wide size run from 36 to 46. Enjoy fast delivery across Europe, secure checkout and the option to pay in instalments. Find your size and pick up this ASICS classic today.
