Since 1916, Karhu has carried the bear – its name in Finnish – as the emblem of a brand born in Finland for track and field. After kitting out the Flying Finns in the 1920s and innovating with an air-cushioned sole in the 1970s and Fulcrum technology in the 1980s, Karhu turned its attention to cross-training in the mid-1990s.
