Karhu Fusion XT "Hematite": 90s Finnish Cross-Training, Reborn for the Street

Founded in Finland in 1916, Karhu – Finnish for "bear" – earned its stripes on the track, worn by the legendary Flying Finns of the 1920s. The brand pioneered an air-cushioned sole in the 1970s and Fulcrum technology in the 1980s, before branching out into cross-training in the mid-1990s. The Fusion XT draws directly on that era, reviving the chunky, technical lines of the Karhu archive in a lifestyle trainer built for everyday life rather than the stopwatch.

The Hematite / Gray Shingles colourway plays with layered mineral greys, from deep charcoal to soft stone. The upper pairs suede and hairy suede with CORDURA® re/cor™, a recycled polyester fabric known for its abrasion resistance. Underfoot, the Twin System Air Cushion delivers responsive cushioning, while a heel stabiliser locks you in. A full-grip rubber outsole brings traction and durability, and reflective hits, flat laces and a fixed tongue finish off a thoughtfully built shoe.
