The New Balance 1906 line is named after the year the Boston brand was founded. The original arrived in 2009 as a premium running shoe, then came back as the 1906R and quickly became a sneaker-culture staple. The 1906A is the latest chapter: it keeps the 1906R platform but reworks the upper completely, with extended synthetic panels, exposed edges and offset overlays for a deliberately deconstructed feel.

Like the 2002R and 860v2, the 1906A runs on a midsole that stacks several technologies: lightweight, flexible ACTEVA LITE cushioning, N-ergy shock absorption and segmented ABZORB SBS pods in the heel. A moulded heel cage locks you in, while the Stability Web supports the midfoot. The upper pairs open, breathable mesh with curved synthetic overlays, sitting on a rubber outsole built for grip.

This White / Mint Flash - Silver Metallic colourway (style code U1906AE) keeps things bright: a white base, metallic silver overlays and small flashes of mint. Wear it with cargos, raw denim or technical shorts to give a clean fit a Y2K edge, from the office to the weekend.
