First released in 2001 as the first 99X model of the new millennium, the 991 has long set the benchmark for premium New Balance runners. The New Balance 991v2 Made in UK Vintage Sports Bluesteel carries that DNA forward in v2 form, crafted at the brand's historic Flimby factory in Cumbria, where New Balance has been making shoes since 1982. The "Made in England" branding on the tongue says it all.

As part of the Vintage Sports pack, the upper pairs rich Bluesteel premium pigskin suede with a darker vintage-inspired mesh base and synthetic nubuck overlays, with Poseidon and Harbor Mist accents. A split off-white sole unit and a yellow-tinged CR device at the heel add a deliberately aged, archive-ready finish. Underfoot, these New Balance 991v2 trainers take a real step forward: a full-length FuelCell midsole delivers lively energy return, while ABZORB SBS pods and ENCAP technology keep the cushioning and support the 991 is known for.
