The RC56 was born from a fresh look at New Balance's running archive, specifically the cross-country and racing shoes of the early 2000s. Unveiled in 2025 alongside Aimé Leon Dore in a collaboration that sold out quickly, it then arrived as a general release and now ranks among the most coveted low-profile silhouettes from the Boston brand.

The “Rich Oak/Stoneware” colourway gives the shoe real depth: a rich, warm oak brown set against a mineral neutral that makes every overlay on the mesh upper stand out.
