Nike ACG Misery Ridge GORE-TEX 3L: built to take on wind and rain

Since the late 1980s, Nike ACG, short for All Conditions Gear, has been making kit that handles rough terrain and bad weather without giving up on style. The Misery Ridge Storm-FIT ADV GORE-TEX 3L jacket sums up that philosophy: a hiking shell designed for anyone who heads out on the trail even when the rain is coming down hard.

Its key asset is the GORE-TEX 3L fabric: three bonded layers, with a tough outer face, a waterproof and breathable membrane and a soft inner lining. The result is a waterproof and windproof shell made from recycled polyester. Every detail is there to keep the elements out: an adjustable hood with three bungees, hook-and-loop cuffs, an adjustable bungee hem, pit zips for airflow and a two-way front zip. Four pockets, three zipped plus an inner mesh drop-in pocket that fits a 500ml flask, round it off, along with articulated sleeves, embroidered ACG and Swoosh logos and an ACG tribiner.

In Black/Black/Summit White, this Nike ACG men's waterproof jacket works on the mountain and in the city. Pair it with cargo trousers, a fleece and trail shoes for a sharp gorpcore look, or simply throw it over jeans on a wet commute.

Standard fit, technical construction and clean finishing: the Misery Ridge earns its place among Nike's most complete hiking jackets, as useful on the trail as it is in everyday city life.
