Nike Kobe AD Protro 'Laser Orange': Kobe Bryant's signature, turned up to fire

Launched in 2016, the Nike Kobe A.D. was Kobe Bryant's first signature shoe after he stepped away from the game. Low, clean and built for performance, it opened a new chapter in the Kobe line. Through the Protro concept, Nike's blend of performance and retro, the original design returns with up-to-date cushioning, so the Nike Kobe AD Protro keeps its 2016 lines while feeling thoroughly modern underfoot.

Tech-wise, this Protro build runs a full-length React carrier, a ZoomX unit in the forefoot and Zoom cushioning in the heel, mixing bounce with proper impact protection. The official Laser Orange/Safety Orange colorway soaks the shoe in sunny orange, while the midsole fades from yellow-red up front to a burnt orange at the rear. A darker Swoosh ties the whole look together.

On court, these orange Nike basketball shoes for men suit hoopers who like a low-cut collar and a close-to-the-ground feel. Off court, they're an instant statement piece: rock them with basketball shorts and an oversized black tee, or keep it simple with grey joggers and a plain hoodie so the orange does all the talking.

Part heritage, part performance, the Kobe AD Protro speaks to Kobe Bryant fans and to players who want a responsive, stable basketball shoe. That bold colour means it gets noticed just as much on the hardwood as on the street, without trading away any comfort.
