Nike Air Force 1 Low "Team Red": a Kilgore classic wrapped in head-to-toe red fur

Bruce Kilgore's Air Force 1 arrived in 1982 as the first Nike basketball shoe with Air cushioning, and it has never really left. Four decades on, Nike Sportswear still treats it as a blank canvas. After an orange pair and a purple pair earlier in 2026, the "Technicolor Tale" series closes its trilogy with the Air Force 1 Low "Team Red", a Quickstrike edition that trades leather for a full coat of fur.

The official colourway reads Team Red/Team Red-Team Red, and it means it. The toe, quarters, Swoosh, heel and tongue are all covered in faux pony hair with a plush, mink-coat feel. Where the orange and purple versions sit on a white sole, this one carries the red through the midsole and outsole too. Red laces with silver tips and a red sockliner finish the monochrome look, all built on the familiar Air Force 1 platform.

Trainers this loud work best with a quiet outfit: raw denim, black cargos, a grey marl hoodie or a long wool overcoat. They come into their own at gigs, gallery openings and nights out, and they add real warmth to an all-black winter fit. A soft brush now and then keeps the fur looking its best.
