Nike Air Max III "Light Smoke Grey": the Air Max 90 under its birth name

In 1990, Tinker Hatfield designed a Nike running shoe that enlarged the visible Air window in the heel and framed it in colour. It was called the Air Max III, and only became the Air Max 90 when it was reissued in 2000, named after its launch year. By bringing back the Air Max III name, Nike nods to that history, and the "Light Smoke Grey" version revisits the colour-blocking of the first pairs with a thoroughly modern twist.

The Light Smoke Grey/Iron Grey/Photon Dust/Sail colourway layers light and deeper greys, softened by off-white Sail accents, in the spirit of the OG's neutral palette. What is new sits on the tongue and at the spine: TPU panels trace curved, wave-like lines, a detail you will not find on vintage pairs, and one that sets this edition apart.
