Nike x Kids Of Immigrants T90 Mule "Khaki": the Total 90 becomes a chancleta

Launched by Nike in 2000, the Total 90 defined a generation of football with its off-centre lacing and bold attitude, worn by players such as Wayne Rooney, Luís Figo and Roberto Carlos. To take it off the pitch, Nike handed the silhouette to Kids Of Immigrants (KOI), the Los Angeles label co-founded by Daniel Buezo and Weleh Dennis, two children of immigrants who put their communities at the heart of their work. Released on 28 May 2026, the Nike x Kids Of Immigrants T90 Mule turns the T90 into a mule.

The heel is open, so the T90 slides on in one move, as a tribute to the chancleta, the everyday sandal Nike calls the people's shoe and a bridge between generations of immigrants. The upper mixes khaki suede and patent leather, with olive leather side panels. An asymmetric tongue flap, echoing the T90's off-centre spirit, snaps on and off for different looks, and laces let you lock in a tighter fit. Inside, a cork insole embossed with the KOI logo adds comfort and sweat-wicking, while a Light Mulberry lining and University Gold and Fusion Red accents lift the palette.

Easy to slip on, this men's mule works with shorts, wide-leg trousers or joggers, with or without socks. Made for everyday life across work, play and nights out, it also sits naturally with vintage football shirts and blokecore fits that celebrate 2000s football culture.
