Run by brothers António and Manuel Magalhães, the fourth generation of a textile-making family, Portuguese Flannel makes its shirts around Guimarães in northern Portugal, the historic cradle of the country's textile industry. The brand works with fabrics from its own archive, spanning nearly 90 years of history, and the Portuguese Flannel Lobo Brown Embroidery Shirt is one of its finest expressions.

The Lobo is one of the label's signature styles: a wide-wale cotton corduroy shirt with a soft, lightly brushed hand, a single chest pocket and a subtly curved hem that looks neat tucked or untucked. This Brown Embroidery version, in a warm brown, stands out with an embroidered detail that gives the classic a crafted, one-of-a-kind touch.

It works as a shirt or a light overshirt: open over a white tee with raw denim, buttoned up with ecru chinos and loafers, or layered under a wool coat when the temperature drops. Brown pairs naturally with beige, olive, navy and grey.
