Vans Premium Classic Slip-On 98 Harris Tweed®: the cult slip-on in Scottish wool

Introduced in 1977 as Style 98, the laceless Slip-On took over California's skateparks before becoming an emblem of punk and the music scene. For this collaboration, released on 24 September 2026, Vans dresses its legendary silhouette in Harris Tweed®, the famous fabric handwoven in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. The Vans Premium Classic Harris Tweed® Slip-On 98 in Tweed Red/Blue is one of the standout versions.

The upper uses tweed made from 100% virgin wool dyed and spun by islanders, a fabric known for its water and wear resistance. Jewels, pins, studs and contrast stitching bring an unapologetic punk edge. The taller, glossy sidewall and foxing tape inspired by reinforced 1990s outsoles nod to the archive, while the Waffle outsole, Vans' grip signature since 1966, completes the vulcanised build. For comfort, a Sola Foam ADC insole, padded collar and elastic side panels make it easy to slip on and off.

These Vans tweed slip-on trainers work with straight trousers, raw denim or cords, perfect for autumn and winter.
