Adidas Adizero Dropset Pro: race-day speed built for hybrid training

Unveiled in June 2026 at the HYROX World Championships in Stockholm, the Adidas Adizero Dropset Pro brings together two corners of the brand: the gym-born Dropset line and the Adizero family, adidas' name for speed on the road. The result is a hybrid training shoe for athletes who mix running and strength work in the same session, and a more accessible alternative to the Adizero Dropset Elite released earlier in the year.

Underfoot, a full-length Lightstrike Pro midsole, adidas' supercritical foam, delivers light cushioning with strong energy return. Integrated EnergyRods guide a smooth, stable transition from heel to toe, while the Continental rubber outsole with Lighttraxion keeps you planted on treadmills, tracks and gym floors. The engineered mesh upper offers support without feeling restrictive, backed by an ultra-thin 2.6 mm Adizero EVA sockliner and Climacool breathability. The shoe is made in part with recycled materials.

These hybrid training trainers are made for HYROX prep, functional fitness WODs, treadmill intervals or circuits that mix sled pushes and lunges. Away from the gym, the Yellow/Red colourway pairs easily with black training shorts, grey joggers or a tonal tracksuit for a bright, confident sportswear look.

Few shoes in the running and training category take genuine race-shoe technology and put it to work under a barbell. The Dropset Pro is one of those versatile sneakers that means you no longer swap pairs between the treadmill and the weights, making it a go-to for anyone building towards a hybrid race, whether you are a runner adding strength or a lifter logging more miles.
