Air Jordan 4 "Rare Air" Tour Yellow: a 2006 rarity returns twenty years on

Designed by Tinker Hatfield and worn by Michael Jordan from 1989, the Air Jordan 4 gave the line its side wings, mesh panels and visible heel Air unit. In 2006, Jordan Brand released the "Tour Yellow" colourway as part of its LS lifestyle collection, with one detail that became legendary: a removable Jumpman tongue patch that revealed the words "Rare Air" underneath. Never retroed since, the much-requested colourway returns on 5 September 2026, twenty years after its debut, as the Air Jordan 4 "Rare Air" Tour Yellow.

The official White/Tour Yellow-Dark Blue Grey-Black colourway stays faithful to the 2006 pair. A white leather upper sets a clean, bright base for the wings and black accents to stand out. The Tour Yellow midsole with dual-colour speckling is the shoe's signature. A Jumpman logo replaces the Nike Air branding on the heel, and the visible Air unit delivers the cushioning the Air Jordan 4 is known for. A rubber outsole completes the build.
