Nike Air Force 1 '07 LV8 Anthracite: the AF1 goes workwear denim

Designed by Bruce Kilgore and launched as a basketball shoe in 1982, the Air Force 1 has become one of the most worn sneakers on the planet, released since in countless materials and colourways. The LV8 (as in "elevate") versions are where Nike takes the most liberties with materials. Released in June 2026, the Nike Air Force 1 '07 LV8 Denim Anthracite is a dark, textured take with a workwear feel.

A washed, denim-style textile covers the overlays, eyestays and Swoosh, layered over suede-touch panels. The Anthracite/Anthracite-Medium Ash colourway plays with shades of charcoal for a lived-in look, like a pair that has already been broken in. A metallic silver AF1 dubrae on the laces adds a hit of shine. Underneath sits everything that defines the model: the cupsole with encapsulated Air cushioning and the circular pivot point under the forefoot.

These grey Air Force 1 trainers pair naturally with raw denim, work trousers or cargos, and slot easily into an autumn-winter rotation in muted tones. A more textured alternative to the classic white or black AF1.

Part basketball heritage, part workwear attitude, this anthracite denim AF1 is one of the most original takes of the season and a strong pick for anyone after something different from the usual Air Force 1.
