Nike GT Cut Purple Comet: the shoe that started the G.T. Cut story is back

When the Nike G.T. Cut landed in 2021, it set the tone for a whole generation of Nike basketball shoes made for players who live on crossovers, hesitations and quick changes of pace. Phased out in 2022, the first G.T. Cut is now back in the loud Purple Comet colourway, proving that a great hoops shoe never really goes away.

Underfoot, the Nike GT Cut Purple Comet sticks to the formula that made its name: responsive React foam paired with a full-length Zoom Air Strobel unit for a snappy, low-to-the-ground ride. Purple Comet takes over the upper, fragmented red and Topaz Gold hits add depth, and the midsole fades from Hot Punch to Laser Fuchsia with a paint-splatter finish. The real showstopper sits at the bottom: soles that glow in the dark.

On court, these are Nike GT Cut basketball shoes for men who want feel and reactivity in equal measure, especially guards. Off court, the purple and gold palette works with black hoops shorts, grey joggers or cargos for a sporty fit that gets noticed.

Within the Greater Than family, the G.T. Cut is where it all began, and this return puts it firmly back in the rotation. For players and collectors alike, the Purple Comet is a pair that performs as well as it photographs, and a reminder of why the original made such an impact.

Grab the Nike G.T. Cut Purple Comet at noirfonce.eu, an official Nike retailer since 2015 and Europe's sneaker destination, in the sizes available. Enjoy fast delivery across Europe, secure checkout and the option to pay in instalments.
