Nike Air Max Dolce "Black": the sleekest Air Max of the 2000s returns

Nike introduced the Air Max Dolce in 2002, and it has always been an outlier in the Air Max family. Where most of the line was born on the running track, the Dolce was designed as a hybrid between a sporty trainer and a dressy loafer: slimmer, lower and built for the city. Largely overlooked for years, it is back in 2026 in its original women's colourway, Black/Sport Red, recreated faithfully with no remix.

Colourway IB4527-002 goes all-in on black. The upper, the laces and most of the sole are fully blacked out for a clean, sharp profile. The contrast comes from below: a visible Air unit in the heel and Sport Red hits on the outsole. Barely noticeable from the front, the red flashes with every step and gives the pair its attitude. The slender, loafer-inspired shape remains the model's signature.

That slim line and deep black make it remarkably easy to style. Wear it with straight tailored trousers, a midi skirt, raw denim or wide-leg wool pants for a smart-casual contrast.
