Adidas Pokémon Superstar II Mid "Pikachu": the high point of the collection

Pokémon's story began in Japan on 27 February 1996 with Pokémon Red and Green. For the 30th anniversary, Adidas Originals revealed a collection in September 2026, and sneaker media singled out this pair as its standout. Also listed as the Pikachu Pro Model, it borrows the higher cut of Adidas' 1960s basketball shoes and is built on the Superstar II Mid.

Style code KI2862 comes in the official Yellow / Yellow / Core Black colourway. The yellow upper is fully covered in hair, mimicking Pikachu's coat. On the lateral side, a large raised Pikachu badge grabs attention and the tongue tag features the character too. The Three Stripes carry a Pikachu-branded tab. Each foot gets its own lace hardware: a Poké Ball dubrae on the right shoe and a Pikachu-shaped dubrae with a tail-inspired lace charm on the left. The sole unit, shell toe and heel counter are blacked out in Core Black for sharp contrast.

The mid-height collar looks best with trousers that sit just above the ankle or are cuffed: straight black jeans, black cargos or tapered joggers. Keep the top half black or grey and let the yellow and that badge do the work. A confident streetwear look for autumn and winter.

Compared with the low-top Superstar "Pikachu", the Mid version adds height, more black contrast and mismatched dubraes. It is the pick for collectors and high-top fans who want the most detailed piece of the Adidas x Pokémon collab.
